Very well done!

You did a great job on this psychicpebble! Being an animator myself i have actually 1 thought in particular that could make animating stuff like this easier but It's whatever, just something i noticed.

When you move the heads up and down it looks like you're moving the mouths separate from the head and it doesn't always line up perfectly (and that would be hard anyways). Might want to try embedding the mouths in the head container and then doing the lip sync right there, then when you tween the head around the mouth will stay in the same place, and if you need to move it at specific parts you can do it right inside the main container.

Just a thought though, its really not noticeable its just something that could speed up the lip sync :)

psychicpebbles responds:

No, thanks for the review this is the only review out of 200+ that has actually offered me advice on how to improve. It's actually interesting what I did.

I first made the bodies, then I did the heads, and finally after everything, even the subtitles, I did the lip synch. With there heads bobbing to make the animation seem more alive, I realized that the lip synch on Santa Claus looked way to stiff and would sometimes drift from it's original spot. This is where it gets confusing.

I went into the head movie clip of each of the characters and added a layer of their heads, dragged in the closed mouth, and tinted it to yellow so that when I went into the mouth layer on the overall timeline I could see the mouth and where it needed to be located on the head.

Understand what I'm saying? It's a little weird to think about but it didn't look perfect, but it did the trick I think. If you'll notice sometimes very early on in the animation Santa's mouth begins to drift downwards.

Thanks for mentioning that Jordan your animations are great as well.

I...uh...woah!

I don't even care about the song, that's some trippy effects you got going there. I don't even comprehend how you would start something like this!

TheBoogley responds:

THANKS! It's just a bunch of tricks I've learned mashed up together, the morph took ages though, I had to draw that frame by frame in illustrator and import it in. :)

Haaah, this reminds me...

of a time when standards for flash was lower :P

Totally lazy and fantastic because it is so. However, i didn't like it..but you tried, and i salute you for so.

CustardCartoonsInc responds:

:) I love you JordanD.

I wish the standards were lower. Why can't we all just go back to "clock day" and that weird black and grey "madness" thing with faceless people murdering other faceless people. I wanna go back to themz, the glory days.

SETH ITS JORDAN HEY!

You get a 10 for yelling at Tom "Hey there's not enough stuff by CoolDrMoney on frontpage" during his presentation.

CoolDrMoney responds:

Well it seems that thats been taken care of now I can die happy as a Newgrounds legend....

uh oh..

K now its actually not working for me, i'm just getting a black screen..

So i'm gonna have to go 5, directly between amazing and garbage...is that fair?

meganet responds:

I know, I can see it from flash cs5 in explorer, but when I upload it to newgrounds it goes black.

Its an ad..

Interesting form of advertisement. I mean i'd seen it before just not as a submission...

Sucks hearing what ppl think of these things huh? They either hate you or don't care

eCongress responds:

Yeah, it's technically an ad, but for a semi new form of government, not a new car or microwave.

I'm posting to simply see the specific reaction, I'm not expecting a huge response or anything.

Things are too static man!

You're slowly developing your eye for cooler shots for this kinda stuff, but it seems you're letting your animation hold you back. You gotta mess around with some serious frame by frame and this thing is gonna kick SO much ass

SkyKitsune responds:

So your saying not enough animation here? Agreed.

I was panning to make it longer, but unfortunately with deadlines, had to cut its original leangth in half. Im glad you think Ive done well with the shots, I did my best to keep backgrounds alive and colourful. ^^

Heh...

That went crazy pretty fast! Now did you do the actual call or just find this on the internet. If you did the call you might as well upload to audio portal. If not then you shoulda worked more on the art.

I get what you're doing though, just showing everyone hey look a lolsy prank call with some pics to go along. Thanks for sharing :)

bird-man responds:

It's not mine, also about the animation...

This was a bit of a half-assed quick animation. ;D

Haaaah!

Nene's such a bitch :P

Good job tystarr! You put a lot of work into this and it definitely shows :)

Tystarr responds:

Thanks dude...the effort I put in this almost matched my passion for Newgrounds. So thats a lot of work.

So long O.o

I remember when you showed me like the first minute or w/e it was on skype not too long ago, i thought maybe that would be like half of it or something :P And then turns out that was 1/10th of the length haha.

Nice job bud! ^_^

Bobert-Rob responds:

Hah, yeah, this is definitely one of my longest episodes. Hence the long wait for me to actually complete it. It's probably going to remain the longest episode for awhile. 7 will be lucky to hit 5 minutes, I think. Glad you liked it, man, and hope you enjoyed your character's little cameo in it, heh. YOU REMEMBER WHICH ONE, YUS?!

Everything is Connected. 🙏💛✨
