Hey that's cool

I like your art style, and the plain white bg's actually fit well with the story. Sexy music too :)

And i WISH joints could do that hahah XD

Fantastic

I loved it. Not sure what else to say :)

*faved*

Very well done!

You did a great job on this psychicpebble! Being an animator myself i have actually 1 thought in particular that could make animating stuff like this easier but It's whatever, just something i noticed.

When you move the heads up and down it looks like you're moving the mouths separate from the head and it doesn't always line up perfectly (and that would be hard anyways). Might want to try embedding the mouths in the head container and then doing the lip sync right there, then when you tween the head around the mouth will stay in the same place, and if you need to move it at specific parts you can do it right inside the main container.

Just a thought though, its really not noticeable its just something that could speed up the lip sync :)

psychicpebbles responds:

No, thanks for the review this is the only review out of 200+ that has actually offered me advice on how to improve. It's actually interesting what I did.

I first made the bodies, then I did the heads, and finally after everything, even the subtitles, I did the lip synch. With there heads bobbing to make the animation seem more alive, I realized that the lip synch on Santa Claus looked way to stiff and would sometimes drift from it's original spot. This is where it gets confusing.

I went into the head movie clip of each of the characters and added a layer of their heads, dragged in the closed mouth, and tinted it to yellow so that when I went into the mouth layer on the overall timeline I could see the mouth and where it needed to be located on the head.

Understand what I'm saying? It's a little weird to think about but it didn't look perfect, but it did the trick I think. If you'll notice sometimes very early on in the animation Santa's mouth begins to drift downwards.

Thanks for mentioning that Jordan your animations are great as well.

I...uh...woah!

I don't even care about the song, that's some trippy effects you got going there. I don't even comprehend how you would start something like this!

TheBoogley responds:

THANKS! It's just a bunch of tricks I've learned mashed up together, the morph took ages though, I had to draw that frame by frame in illustrator and import it in. :)
