Sounds more like you're just trying to leech off of others' individuality and lack of dependence by saying you're "managing" them, so YOU'RE the guy who gets featured in magazines when someone there makes something worthwhile.
If you're trying to make a sort of "keep tabs on the latest goings-on" feed sort of thing, that'd make more sense, because it's you being the journalist to all these creative individuals, and you'd be the one making judgment calls on who to feature and who deserves attention.
Don't ask anyone to join, just report what's new with notable people.
Maybe I didn't explain it well enough, but I'm doing exactly what you just said i should be doing. I'm not asking anyone to join, I'm just trying to start up an Online magazine of sorts, that keeps tabs, reports on, and discusses the latest going ons.

oh also, the logo looks like shit; put more effort into the actual basis of the logo instead of just throwing colors around to make it look more "interesting"
The logo's temp, i started the facebook last night and just started putting things together, it'll probably go through another 4 or 5 versions till it's how i want it to be.

I believe it's normal for independent people to be divided... Independence implies division, doesn't it?
Still I think it's a good idea to look out for good, creative content that is usually hard to find, and promote it. I don't think uniting those people would work, but a sort of online magazine would be a good idea.
Yeah, "uniting" isn't exactly the idea, but a Mag is deff where were heading.
