Previously

So concerning the Exile series this is what's happening now:

Chapter 1 and 2 will be completely remade, Chapter 3 will be re-dubbed but not re-animated and an additional scene will be added. Chapter 4 will remain the same. Please, don't think of it as "a remake" of the first two though, think of them as new chapters.

The cast of chapter 1 has been hired, it will star:

Geoff Edwards, the voice of Dirge from "Xombie".
BiffTheTimid
AlmightyHans
Voicegirl

Chapter 1 and 2 will come out this summer, i will replace the older chapters and ask Tom to delete Exile: Remastered. (He's probably reading this going "ohhhh no I wont")

These redo's are 100% necessary. Everyone who has read the script agree's with this so PLEASE don't flame saying "keep moving forward ignore the past". Unfortunately, there are just some things that need to be said and introduced early on in the first 2 chapters that cannot be shown through flashbacks at a later date.

Chapter 5 is also in production and is looking VERY hawt. Chapter 1 and 2 will probably not have THE finest animation but it'll look good regardless, and does already.

Consider this as a wakeup call for myself, i'm going to do this series, and i'm going to do it right.

VICTOR: Don't you understand?! I fought my whole life so you wouldn't have to!

LUKE: It's not like I asked you to! You did that on your own, just like I'm going to do this on my own.

VICTOR: And for what?! Glory? God dammit boy! Listen to me and listen well...I can tell you right now glory isn't worth a damn thing. Not worth looking into the eyes of every person I've had to bring to death, not worth the screams of the children I couldn't protect and sure as hell not worth the lives of those who had to save me when I couldn't save myself.

LUKE: But you were a hero!

VICTOR: Do you think that changes anything?! I have scars Luke...ones that won't ever go away. Not when every night I can still see the blood and torment that's burned itself into my memory. Is that really what you want?

LUKE: Well if fighting for your kingdom is so horrible then why are you still fighting?! You're retired! But I've seen you going through plans and blueprints at night! You hide weird letters in your room! And what about the weapon crates that pass through our house every month?!

[Victor crosses his arms]

VICTOR: I don't know what you're talking about.

[Luke smacks the table again]

LUKE: My ass you don't!

So I forced my writer-friend Jasmin to read the whole Exile script so that i would have someone to bounce idea's off to help out with some of the plot holes... it pretty much resulted in a 6 hour long overhaul of the series where after about chapter... 7ish... the entire thing goes in a COMPLETELY different direction than originally planned.

The good: The story DOES flow alot better now, there's a bit of a slowdown in the middle now though, but whatever it does work well :)

The bad: Now I can't say that i wrote an original series :P I mean its not about the glory i'm totally cool with putting "Written by Me and my friend" on the credits, i just liked the thought that i could write my own series.. Good motivational booster ya kno?

whatever though, its not a huge deal in the end at all :) I'm happy with the new result!

Whats going to change?

WELL my friend Jasmin is ALSO doing a re-write of the series in a novel form. As in "better written dialogue" i may just go into the old Exile.fla's and replace the old dialogue with new. If i do that i won't be resubmitting the series though, just making them sound good for newcomers :) (Might touch up some arts too, but re-animating would take much too long)

anyways, I just felt like sharing that.. Not sure if anyone will actually care to read it but in case they do, there's that..

Wow, it has been a ridiculously busy week, so i'm going to try and summarize a crap load of things all at once. Booyah!

1. Pico Day

My pico day submission "Piconormal Activity" is getting nothing but great reviews! Woo!

2. Newgrounds Baltimore meet

Last Friday I flew out to Baltimore to hang with Starogre and HoodedPirate in their dorm. For some stupid reason I didn't go to Pico day. Go me right? Anyways here's a video I cut together

3. Kid Launcher

I submitted my first game just on wednesday and its suprisingly a hit all over the web. Frontpaged on NG, NotDoppler, hallpass and more :) Now i know most of the reviews for it say "Ohhh its a rip-off of turtle toss", well i don't blame the people for thinking so. The whole project itself was more of a practice run to see if my coder and I could work together while we planned out a much bigger game :P

4. Montreal Meet!

I had so much fun at Baltimore i'm heading out to the Montreal meet up for June 4th -6th, it revolves around the montreal beerfest so if you wanna get drunk with a bunch of NG members, you should come!

For my first ever pico day submission i've gone with something starring A-BOT! I felt that he didn't get nearly enough toons about him in the previous years so now lets go watch Pico be tormented by the eeeevvilll A-Bot in...

Piconormal Activity

Hey everyone, I'm going to attempt to start updating these here posts more often, first some news..then some other stuff :)

Pico day is 2 weeks away and I'm about half done my toon, i'm starting to have doubts about it i think because i've had to re-watch and work with it so much in the past week, BUT fortunately everyone i show it thinks its good so that's reassuring :)

In case you missed it, a 3rd Patchman short came out not long ago and somehow managed a score of 4.22 and daily 2nd .__. I know the scores aren't everything but it shows that you guys are enjoying it :P I honestly didn't think it'd do that well. Even the view count is still rising :D (is a nice feeling lol).

Kid launcher is my first flash game and currently up for bids on FGL. The market for these games is absolutely amazing i had no idea sponsorships would pay thousands of dollars for em. Goood stuff!

Schools almost out! I have 1 more week of classes and then I gotta spend the whole last week finishing the pico day movie, and then i'm going straight to thenewgrounds Baltimore meet! I'm really excited to meet all of the attendee's as its my first meet :O I WAS considering going to the pico-day event at the NG office but its cheaper to go to Baltimore and crash with starogre instead of paying for a hotel in philli and then taking a train or w/e the next morning to Baltimore.

Hey again, it seems like only 2 weeks ago i submitted warning labels :) I was going to go for a hat-trick and submit patchman 3 at the end of March, but due to a few setbacks I put it off till now :)

Me? Im here for my own movies of course, to check their stats and scores, that used to be it, but now its more and more checking out the news and hanging around the forums, and seeing other aspiring artists, and blamming the 12 year old kids who think their awesome haha. after reading the inspiring story of how newgrounds was formed, I'm here more and more. This place has become my internet home XD.
